I have been involved with various types of steel house frames over the past 20 years and feel they will be used more and more in the future. They have many benefits, they can be manufactured to suit (no waste), pre-fabricated in factory and delivered to site, are straighter and they are not attacked by insects.
Bracing Panels can be built into the frame to suit any specification.
Steel Roof Trusses can be pre-fabricated with no joins in long lengths.
Metal Roof Battens and Metal Ceiling Battens are now used throughout the building industry.
Pre-fabricated Houses and Sheds built with steel framing are usually stronger than those built with on-site construction methods. They have been used successfully through Australia in extreme conditions and are now being used more in major population centres as our timber resources become to valuable to use for house frames.
